Doing the final essay opened my eyes to thoughts toward capitalism. I feel that many of teh ideas that Quinney has are fundamentaly sound and have good merit. I think this promotion of greed and the standards that are used to measure success need to change. I don't feel that material possesions bring that much happiness and if it does, it doesn't last that long. Once society realizes that Bling Bling means nothing, ideals will change. But I can't criticize other peoples standards of success. If a caddy with gold rims makes you feel that you made it, great. But the process that gets you there may have the criticism to it.
The only aspect of Quinneys ideas I did not agree with was the part of lossing pride. I feel that if a peason has pride within themselves, that can mean everything.
